Barbarian Choice A SciFi Alien Romance Ice Planet Barbarians Book 12 eBook Ruby Dixon
My emotions are all over the place after reading this book. Excited that I just read another great addition to the series and sad that this may be the last Ice Planet Barbarian's book. Did I read the end correctly?? I don't know what I'm going to do about getting my Barbarian fix. I also wasn't sure I was going to love Farli's story as much as the others. I love Farli's character but mostly love the growly males that have resonated to the humans in previous stories. I was quickly relieved when Farli stumbled upon a downed space ship with a growly blue male. The ship inhabitants were the Sa Khui equivalent with people that were more advanced or civilized by living in a modern society.Farli resonated to Mardok immediately but since Mardok didn't have a khui his feeling were not the same. Her relationship with Mardok was so emotional and endearing. I was smiling then clutching my chest and choking up. So emotional. Mardok was in the military and is suffering from the memories and emotional scars from war. Farli's kindness, patience and her purity was so touching. She truly loves Mardok and wants what is best for him. Mardok is not perfect but tries to be a better person because he too cares for Farli. He also is all possessive and growly around her and doesn't understand it.
On the hot and steamy front, it was different but still steamy. Farli is not quite as impatient as the male Sa Khui's were in previous books but she was feeling it! Since Mardok didn't resonate, he was more like a typical male in this situation - turned on but can turn it off if needed. Mardok was maybe more evolved and took things slowly and carefully. He did have the same physical equipment though...
Barbarian's Choice and the latest story Barbarian's Hope were more serious and emotional than the others. I found them deeper and allowed me to understand and feel for the characters. There is a balance between sweet and steam that is perfect. I think every story has just gotten better and better and I really don't want the series to end ever!!

Barbarian Choice A SciFi Alien Romance Ice Planet Barbarians Book 12 eBook Ruby Dixon Reviews
I really love this series! It's really not your typical sci fi human girl meets alien. Of course there is the love story part and some hot scenes, but Ruby Dixon knows how to put some twist and turns in her books. She makes you fall in love with all the characters. And you get to meet past characters in each book and get to see how their lives are going. I know someone said she was afraid this was the last one but I don't think so, don't want to give anything away but something happens near the end to make me think there will be more.
In this one we get to meet Farley all grown up. And yes she meets her mate. A ship has trouble and must stop and do repairs. Farley see it coming down and follows to see who it is. Much to her surprise the people on board are sa-khui well kinda since they don't have a khui.
This was such a sweet story. We get to see how different the people from Homeworld think and at first think the
sa-khui are nothing but savages. We also get to find out some answers to questions the human women have been wondering about. Like how long they have really been there and what that wonderful spur is really meant for.
I'm also glad that the crew of the ship was not your "typical advanced aliens" that find people stranded on a far off world. Not that they didn't have their superior attitudes at times.
There are times of tears and of laughter. Another great read in this series. You could read this by itself but reading the series in order would be better.
It took me a long time...long time to get up the interest to read this book because I loved the others but I wasn't sure how I was going to like this one. Not entirely sure of my reasoning but needless to say, I was KEFFING wrong!
Yowza! So good! I do not have enough adjectives to tell you how good this was.
Our little Farli finally gets her mate and having others come to the Ice Planet was pure genius. Usually I get impatient with characters when they can't get over their fears (think Josie and Haeden's book) but this one, I couldn't help but empathize with Mardok. He was terrified and I couldn't, wouldn't find fault in his pain. But he made the right choice and it was a good one...although difficult, he did the right thing.
And Bek...oh Bek, you crazy man you! I've already read the next two books but I just had to leave a review on this one after rereading it. In fact, I feel inclined to reread each story (probably will be my 3rd or 4th time through each) and leave a review now to show my appreciation for these books because this story just keeps getting better and better.
I'm w/Mardok on this I ❤️ Farli, she's just amazing ... Sweet and kind and patient and giving and just soo very, very comfortable in er own skin.... And to be honestly I think the world would a 100% happier place if most of were just happy w/who were are like her... I love these two as a couple but if I'm honest I'd have love more action and more angst .... I'm really not big on angst ,At All... My favorite scene is when they 1st meet it was just so sweet and kinda fun,was grateful once they could communicate better but came to dislike to crew very quickly after (
Honestly the only that got me in a negative way at all was the huge kick in the gut Bek delivered in the end... I mean I get he's rather desperate and all but if he gets what he wants I don't see how I can ever be happy for him at all.... No spoilers ( or at least I hope not) but what he pulls is just 16 shades of wrong and 16 feels way to low a number... I can soo see why Farli maybe NEEDED someone like Mardok to understand and appreciate her but Bek ? Surely he could have thought of a better way ;(
Thank for Farli and Mardok ❤️
